Pride Across the Bridge exists to challenge the false narrative prevalent within our Eastside queer community. Despite our proximity to Seattle, where one might expect easy access to medical providers, care, connections, education, and resources, this is unfortunately not the case. Our 2SLGBTQIA+ community should not feel required to leave home in search of support. There are numerous invaluable resources right here in our local area that offer educated and compassionate care. Our organization is dedicated to discovering and spotlighting these gems so that access to care and treatment is not hindered by the need to cross bridges into Seattle. We host special events, weekly, monthly, and annual programming, and maintain The Big Book of All Things Queer, a living document designed to remove guesswork and ensure easy access to the intersectional care our community deserves. PAB also advocates and shares opportunities for the representation of our diverse community in local decision-making processes, ensuring that our voices are heard and our needs addressed in ways we have not experienced before.
