Primary Care Access Network (PCAN)

The Primary Care Access Network, also known as PCAN, is a dynamic collaboration among Orange County Government, primary health care centers, community agencies, hospitals, and other social services. PCAN’s mission is to improve the access, quality, and coordination of health care services to the underinsured and uninsured populations of Orange County. PCAN represents our community’s “safety net” providers and other community organizations dedicated to improving access to care. Under the leadership of the PCAN Board, six committees and five sub-committees meet monthly. These groups can be divided into primary and secondary categories. The primary group focuses on PCAN’s mission to make healthcare available to everyone in the community. The secondary group focuses on the necessary functions for PCAN to run smoothly. Some of these functions include community education, eliminating cultural disparities, and sustainability.
