The Public Affairs Conference, or PAC, is Principia College’s student-led conference, held every spring (with a brief hiatus) since 1939.
This year’s conference is titled Engage with Information, Reimagine Discourse, and will take place April 2-4, 2020. In an age when we have access to more information than ever before, and when ideological differences are at the heart of issues we wrestle with regularly, this topic is an important, relevant, and necessary one to explore together.
Conference attendees will learn what it means to be informed, strategies for parsing through the abundance of information available at our fingertips, how to engage in substantive and meaningful discourse, and, most centrally, what it means to be an informed and engaged person in contemporary public life.
