The Privacy and Security (PriSec) research group at Karlstad University (Sweden) focuses on privacy-enhancing technologies, usable privacy, privacy engineering and network security, conducting research in close cooperation with the Distributed Systems and Communications (DISCO) and the Software Quality and Digital Modernisation (SQuaD) research groups.
Current research directions of members of the PriSec group include but are not limited to:

- Privacy and transparency in cloud computing,
- Privacy metrics and languages,
- Analysis and circumvention of censorship systems,
