The Tavistock approach -Systems psychodynamics draws upon psychoanalysis, psychodynamics, social anthropology, complexity theory, action research, open systems theory, systems thinking, systems theory and socio-technical systems (STS), which in organisational development is an approach to complex organisational work design that recognises and studies the interaction between people in their different roles, tasks and sub-systems and the technologies of their workplaces.
Grounded in this framework we consider work history, education, strengths, accomplishments, problem areas, skills, values, motivations and goals. Understanding what is really going on at work, under the surface at what we call the unconscious. The context always in mind, considering the wide perspective using a whole systems approach.
Prism consultants are fascinated by work, systems and all that clients bring. Attending events regularly, relevant to their clients. Sarah, principal consultant, has an MA and training with the world renowned Tavistock. Taking up a visiting tutor role in 2021 and mentor on EDI for Laverne Antrobus project.
We work globally - a different diary access (online booking) for each time zones (just ask). Clients from all backgrounds include followers and leaders. Consulting work took us virtually to Afghanistan and Syria, working with senior officials and professionals, leading in a complex environment with a role that was challenged further by the pandemic.
