Pro IYPT-CH

We organize the Swiss Young Physicists’ Tournament (SYPT) and the Swiss Young Naturalists Tournament (SYNT) – two project-based science competitions for teams of high school and middle school students in Switzerland. Designed to mirror a scientific conference, these tournaments inspire students to conduct independent research and present their findings. During the event, participants engage in “fights,” an interactive debate-style format that challenges them to think critically, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate strong rhetorical skills. In 2026, we will be hosting the Physics World Cup (International Young Physicists’ Tournament, IYPT) at ETH Zurich.
