No one, except Coach Skip, teaches young Pitchers “how to” throw strikes.
Instead, young Pitchers are bombarded with People, Coaches, Dads, YouTube telling them “what (they need) to do” to throw strikes without telling them “how to do” “what (they need) to do” to throw strikes.
When presented with a "hey, you need to do this" comment, a young Pitcher understands the intent, understands what's expected of them, but without the"how-to", the Pitcher, his Parents, the Coach, the Team can't expect to see the younger Pitcher produce this skill anytime soon!
How Instruction Needs to Be - When a young Pitcher's instruction sounds like (1) “move” a particular body part (2) in a specific direction, they know what is expected of them and "how-to" perform the skill, and when a knowledgeable instructor presents these movements in the proper order, the young Pitcher can expect to become a strike-throwing machine.
