PRO WINGS was founded in 1977 in Topeka, Kansas, by a well-known american footwear retail chain, serving as its in-house footwear brand and spanning the 80s and 90s. Right from the start, the brand embodied a sense of adventure, blending the practicality of athletic shoes with a distinct and captivating aesthetic. One of the brand's notable features is its association with Eddie Van Halen, the Rock 'n' Roll guitar legend, who famously wore PRO WINGS sneakers from late 1979 through at least 1984. In present times, more than four decades since its inception, the brand has entered a new phase. Following the discontinuation of PRO WINGS shoe production in the late 90s, an Italian corporation based in Riviera del Brenta (between Venice and Padua) now owns the brand rights and has chosen to revive it. Its vision has broadened, shifting from simple sneakers with a sporty vibe to a fashion brand aiming to redefine norms.
