Proactive Engineering Consultants (PROACTIVE) is a Southern California-based Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Consulting firm. We specialize in serving the land development community and governmental agencies throughout Southern California. PROACTIVE was co-founded by principal Tom Braun who has operated in Southern California for more than 30 years. After working for both large and small multi-discipline consulting firms, Tom found that he and most talented engineers, were too far away from the hands-on work they loved. They had become more of “paper pushers” and damage control experts called in when problems surfaced. It was his realization of this unfortunate reality and his strong desire to provide top-notch service to his clients that prompted the firm’s founding. At PROACTIVE, he operates as a “hands-on” principal guided by the objective to do things right the first time. That is where our company name, PROACTIVE, came from.
To ensure we continually provide outstanding service, we adhere to Pareto’s Principle: “20% of the people do 80% of the work.” We seek only to employ the top performing professionals in the industry. While upfront planning is critical for success and clear goals provide direction for achievement, having the right people in the right place can make all the difference between our clients and their competition. Although our staff has extensive experience working on small to mega-projects, we have adopted a small business client focused philosophy. It is this philosophy joined with our pride in continually providing high quality service to a small group of clients that has made PROACTIVE a different kind of company. Thankful for our returning client base, we opened new locations in Mission Viejo and Norco.
