The Pro Bono Club was established at the Department of Law, School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir in, 2023. It works under the aegis of Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India. The Pro Bono Club is a part of the "DISHA scheme" initiated by the Department of Justice, Government of India. It aims to promote and facilitate pro bono legal services in India. Pro bono refers to providing legal services voluntarily, without any charge, to individuals or organizations who cannot afford legal representation.
