Welcome to Processive.
Processive is a consulting company specialising in the development of Medical Devices. It comprises a partnership between Maria Lund Jensen and Barney Gerrard; both experienced in the theory and practice of device development, and both united in a set of personal and business values that we wish to bring to bear on medical product development.
For example, we believe that best-in-class products are the result of best-in-class processes. And so are best-in-class quality records, for that matter. Quality proceeds from process. Hence our name.
Our list of personal values begins with integrity and transparency. We are mature enough to know our strengths and acknowledge our weaknesses; honesty is paramount.
We each bring our own core specialisation to the partnership.
For Maria, this is Usability and Human Factors Engineering, and the development of products where user interaction is optimised both for ease of use and for patient safety (spoiler alert: they aren’t mutually exclusive).
For Barney, this is Systems Engineering of complex products, and the R&D processes that embody both engineering best practice and the regulatory demands of FDA/MDR (spoiler alert: these aren’t mutually exclusive either…).
In addition to this, we both have extensive international experience resulting from making professional choices that took account of our love of travel and curiosity about the world.
