Profectus Element is a firm operating Profectus Fund, a hedge fund focused on trading Bitcoin. The fund existed for two years as a proprietary trading firm. During that time the fund has made progress in its strategies, fund development, and infrastructure. Profectus Element specializes in trading linear and non-linear derivatives on Bitcoin and also spot. The purpose of the Profectus Fund is to achieve its returns by buying and selling or going long and short on Bitcoin via discretionary managed investment strategies. To fulfill the investment strategies, the fund takes 1) directional bets or 2) applies a cash-and-carry arbitrage strategy. Returns are dependent on the fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin.
