About Professional Doctoral Network (PDN)

Professional Doctoral Network was founded on November 4, 2021 on the campus of Clark Atlanta University under the Whitney M. Young School of Social Work. Under the direction of then Director Dr. Shonda Lawrence, students were encouraged to create a community for scholars to connect, research, and collaborate. Founding Members include President Rosa James, VIce President Tiffany Williams, Treasurer Janise Harris and Recording Secretary Desha Elliott. Professional Doctoral Network is open to all doctoral level students. The purpose of the Professional Doctoral Network is to promote doctoral student visibility on campus through engaging conversation with University faculty, staff, and administration. PDN is committed to providing a space that fosters well-being, dialogue, scholarship, community, leadership, and professional development. Our Organization has five committees and we asked that all members is to join at least one committee (committee listed below).
