PROFICO was established in 1991, headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal, with the main goal of developing design projects in the area of structural engineering. Since then PROFICO has experienced a sustainable growth comprising nowadays multidisciplinary teams with experience in design of buildings and bridges, transportation infraestructures, like roads and railways, water supply and sewage, project management and works supervision. The environmental studies are done through PROFICO Ambiente which is specialized in Environment and Regional Planning. Our Company is not part of any economic group; however, it is the co-founder of CENGA, a company dedicated to the provision of engineering services in Angola since 2007, and ECM (Consulting Engineers of Mozambique) since 2012. In 2014, PROFICO decided to enter the Brazilian engineering market through a stake in a Brazilian company with an office in São Paulo - PROFICO Engenheiros Consultores do Brasil. More recently, in 2017, PROFICO opened a permanent representation in East Timor. It is important to enhance that PROFICO has received the “PME Líder” or “PME Excelência” award sponsored by IAPMEI (award created with the objective to distinguish the Best Small and Medium-Size Companies based in Portugal) in all editions, as an outcome of its effective and sound management. Since 2010 we are certified as a quality management system by ISO 9001. PROFICO wants to be recognized in the markets in which operates as an organization that provides quality and efficient services, always prepared to find the best way to fulfill clients’ needs and expectations and being recognized as their trustful partner.
