The research project, promoted by the University of Turin, the University of Eastern Piedmont, the University of Pavia, and the Marche Polytechnic University, in collaboration with Inail, aims to assess the impact of artificial intelligence systems and robotic machinery on the health and safety of male and female workers. The objective is to identify suitable risk prevention models and, consequently, to develop guidelines for the design and use of human-centered intelligent systems, as well as training programs for workers. This objective aligns with the recent EU-OSHA 2023–2025 campaign, whose primary goals include raising awareness and improving understanding of the implications of the digital transition for workers' health and safety—both in terms of risks and opportunities—and fostering stakeholder engagement to support the dissemination and implementation of knowledge and best practices.
