Program Implementation Unit - Planning & Development Board, Punjab

Planning and Development Board, Government of the Punjab has established a Program Implementation Unit to coordinate and monitor the execution of the highly challenging, technical and multi sectoral programs like Punjab Jobs and Competitiveness Program for Results and Strengthening Markets for Agriculture and Rural Transformation (SMART) in Punjab. The lending instrument is Program for Results; the loan proceeds are linked with the achievement of Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLI). Since both these programs are multi-sectoral having crosscutting interventions with multiple implementation arrangements therefore the coordination and monitoring responsibility rests with P&D department through this unit. The unit may expand its scope upon requirement to house the programs of similar nature being funded or to be implemented in collaboration with development partners. Program Implementation Unit also acts as a Secretariat for the Doing Business.
