Progressive Techies

Progressive Techies is a socio-cultural and welfare organization for IT employees in Kerala, established in 2014. Commonly known as PT, this nonprofit voluntary group is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of IT professionals through diverse initiatives spanning employee welfare, charity, cultural activities, sports, technical forums and lots more Our programs are designed to uplift the IT community, reduce workplace stress, and foster a sense of belonging. Among our impactful social initiatives are: Karthumbi: Empowering Attappadi tribal women with sustainable income opportunities. Back 2 School: Supporting thousands of underprivileged students in their education. Blood Donation Group: Meeting the critical demand for blood across Kerala. Helping Hand: Providing financial assistance for medical emergencies on a monthly basis. We are also proud organizers of TARANG – Youth Festival for Techies, a one-of-a-kind socio-cultural event exclusively for IT employees in Kerala. With over 6,000 participants and 100+ events spread across 12–15 days, TARANG celebrates creativity, talent, and cultural diversity within the IT community. Our sports initiative, Battle Door, is a highly recognized badminton tournament among techies in Kerala, promoting fitness and camaraderie. On the technical front, the Progressive Techies Technical Forum actively supports job seekers by connecting talent with the right opportunities, contributing to a thriving and collaborative software community. Additionally, we actively collaborate with local and state governments on various socially committed projects, extending our efforts to create a positive impact beyond the IT community.
