Progressive Education

Progressive Education is a social enterprise raising awareness of alternatives to conventional schooling and campaigns to bring about change within mainstream education. The ProgressiveEducation.org website includes a global directory of progressive schools/learning communities, events and jobs from the sector. It shares information about different approaches to education, initiatives to improve the learner experience at school, campaigns, articles and research. In collaboration with Limitless we also offer a membership for start-up schools and learning communities: Educationstartups.org/community Just for clarity – as Progressive Education means different things to different people - we’re referring to change, transformation, looking to the future and challenging status quo. For us, it’s about moving away from a top-down authoritarian approach, and prioritising autonomy, agency, student voice, choice, mental health and wellbeing, as well as 21st century life skills such as creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking. Together we can transform education!
