Project Aamhi

Project Aamhi is a unique, locally-driven community waste management project where community leaders, residents, and village folk collaborate to eliminate non-biodegradable waste from their neighbourhoods. Starting in the village of Nandgaon, this initiative has now expanded to ten surrounding villages. Supported by the Alibaug Solid Waste Management Association (ASWM), we have cleared 230 metric tonnes of waste. Every month we extract approximately 10 tonnes of waste from the system and have recycled and upcycled what was once considered litter, giving it a new lease of life.
