Project Cargo Care started in 2007 as Technical Marine Surveyors Serviços Marítimos LTDA in Rio de Janeiro, founded by Naval Engineer & Captain Carlo Rolla, Italian National formed as Master by Italian Maritime School and Naval Engineer by Italian Navy Academy, who decided to stablish in Brazil after years commanding Cargo Ships and also installing port terminals all around the globe.
Working independently or as a customer’s representative for ship owners, managers, brokers, charterers, shippers, agents, insurance companies and inspection companies, with a coverage in all South American ports and terminals plus partners all over, our company has stablished long and close term relations with customers by offering prime quality service from office to inspection and a competitive price.
Our Services:
Cargo survey of heavy-lift, project cargo, breakbulk and dry bulk identifies if there is loss/damage caused to it during transportation and determines its causes and consequences for claiming and warranty purposes. In an event of casualty and dispute, we gather information to obtain liability exposure in court proceedings or arbitration.
A warranty survey in the supervision of marine operations protects your interests, providing evidence that ensures any warranties remain valid in case of any damage and loss.
Draft Surveys are used to determine the quantity of loaded/unloaded cargo.
During lashing & securing operations of heavy-lift, project cargo, breakbulk & dry cargo, our CSI makes sure all documentation was provided, if law and stablished procedures are being followed and cargo, people and equipment involved in the operation are safe the entire time.
General condition surveys of cargo holds/tanks determine the suitability of them to transport the cargo they’re assigned to. A Hatch Sealing Survey of all cargo holds/tanks accesses guarantees there is no cargo loss/contamination during the route from sealing to unsealing point. We use ultrasonic equipment.
