The needs of children with special needs and the assistance they require to continue their education are the focus of this project under the teach for India umbrella. There are 7.8 million children with special needs, according to the Census 2011 survey report, which means that 2 out of every 100 children require support in their educational endeavors in the form of school infrastructure and awareness programs. Another 2019 UNESCO report claims that because of inadequate infrastructure, 27% of CWSN never received admission to a school. This results in a virtuous cycle where CWSN are denied admission due to low infrastructure support and infrastructure cannot be constructed due to weak CWSN presence in schools. By constructing ramps and restrooms with access for people with disabilities, Project Deviant is working to break this cycle. We at Project Deviant are working to break this cycle by constructing ramps, and restrooms that are accessible to students in wheelchairs, and we'll be holding awareness events covering everything from government policies and programs to distinctive identifications of students with multiple disabilities and mental illnesses.
