Project Gamchha makes silk scarves on traditional wooden handlooms in its own production facility in Bhagalpur, India. Our business is founded on humanist principles. It provides a team of local weavers with: a modern and comfortable workplace in our own facility and a promise of shared value to ensure equity of effort and profit. To enable our project, we have founded two companies: Tapestry Fashions Private Limited (Tapestry) in India; and Banyan Tree Goods GmbH (Banyan) in Germany. Tapestry owns the production and design facility in Bhagalpur and Banyan markets and sells GAMCHHA products worldwide through an online store and other selected channels.
