Project Growth

Project Growth was established in Ballarat in late 2021 when three friends saw a gap in the lives of young males living with disabilities. At the time, Founders Sam, James, and Bryson supported young males transitioning from finishing school, where all social outlets had been stripped, to programs with wide but not specific goals or targeted interests. The boys had noticed during this transition period that many of their participants were struggling to find confidence and enjoyment within themselves and these programs. Sam, James, and Bryson, all young males themselves, used their knowledge and passion to set up the Project Growth program to allow them to connect and form friendships with like-minded individuals in a meaningful, engaging, and inclusive environment. The Project Growth team takes great pride in their work, which has resulted in great success within the Ballarat community, resulting in over 60 participants partaking weekly and over a 98% retention rate. The confidence our participants have gained from our program has assisted many individuals in gaining employment, living more independently, getting out into the community, and growing and achieving as individuals.
