About Project Inspire Teacher Residency
Project Inspire Teacher Residency is a teacher preparation program that trains any and all majors to become effective, empowered, impactful teachers for the highest need schools in Hamilton County. Residents in the program earn a teaching license after 1 year and a Master's degree in 2 years from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. During the residency year, they work with Clinical Instructors (mentor teachers) in a high-need school and receive instruction and program support from the Project Inspire team so that they are ready to be effective from day 1. Project Inspire is a program under the Public Education Foundation and of AmeriCorps.
