Project Knitwell helps people facing challenges by providing knitting instruction and shared community opportunities that promote wellness and resilience.
Carol Caparosa founded Project Knitwell in 2010, following her experiences as the mom of a pediatric patient. She recognized the value that knitting played in maintaining her wellness during this stressful time. As a result, she learned of the research demonstrating the proven value of knitting as a therapeutic tool.
Our staff of volunteers provides in-person and virtual instruction to support individuals in a variety of stressful circumstances including:
