The mission of Project Marilyn is to give everyone dignity with their period. PERIOD. 2 in 5 people cannot afford period supplies due to lack of income in a given year. You cannot use programs such as SNAP to purchase these items and period supplies are the least donated items when the community comes together to help. No one should have to suffer their dignity or health due to a natural biological function. Toilet paper is free in public restrooms; why aren’t period supplies? Let’s talk about periods and break the taboo. We donate to other nonprofits in the hopes of supporting their greater mission. We also serve all members of our community. Our motto: “If you bleed and are in need, we’re here for you.”
