Project SHIELD PH is a research initiative set to take place from May to September 2023. This project was made possible through the support of US-based grantmaking organization Open Philanthropy's biosecurity scholarships program. Our objective is to develop a biosecurity research agenda for the Philippines, highlighting the most effective projects and research questions that researchers and policymakers should focus on for the next 5-10 years. Our ultimate goal is to contribute to reducing the risks of future pandemics and biological catastrophes.
