Shining a Light on Suicidality in the UK Black Community At Project Soul Stride, we're driving an independent, citizen science-led review focused on suicidality in the UK’s Black community—an issue long overlooked and underrepresented. With the release of the 2023 Suicide Prevention Strategy for England, now is the time for the Black community to stand up, make our voices heard, and inspire meaningful change. We’ve engaged with over 165 stakeholders from the NHS, Public Health, Academia, and grassroots organizations who share our vision for a brighter, healthier future. Together, we’re working to amplify awareness, shift policy, and ensure mental health services become more culturally competent and accessible. Our Objectives: 👉🏾Raise Awareness: Highlight the critical gaps in suicide prevention for Black communities. 👉🏾Drive Change: Advocate for improved policies, resources, and culturally sensitive mental health services. 👉🏾Build Partnerships: Collaborate with leaders, mental health professionals, and community organizations to create lasting impact.
