DIAMANT: Pioneering Deployable Thin-Membrane Metasurface Antennas for High-Throughput Satellites
DIAMANT is an innovative research project developing deployable metasurface thin-membrane antennas for small High-Throughput Satellites (HTS). Designed to meet the demands of Defence, Telecommunications, and other HTS-driven sectors, this lightweight, high-gain antenna technology addresses the challenges of compact stowage and low-cost missions.
Supported by Aalto University's Small Satellites Group and funded by Business Finland, DIAMANT is paving the way for a new space company. This initiative expands Finland's space ecosystem, providing employment opportunities to current space technology talents and nurturing future talent through hands-on incubation and growth opportunities.
