We are dedicated to making the transition from high school to University a stress-free, relaxed and exciting process, rather than a daunting, anxiety-driven, and stressful one. (HUNI is a combination of the words High School and Uni)
Based on the principles of coaching psychology, we aim to ease the anxiety and stress associated with such a critical period in their lives.
The program aims to:
- Debunk University stereotypes
- Enhance the students ability to navigate the independent University environment
- Normalise anxiety and stress: to teach students how to avoid the unexpected trap of learned helplessness
projectHUNI has released a tool called the Course Resource which helps students choose a course based on their interests and passions rather than the narrow criteria of ATAR or institution that is currently used. Since it’s release in August 2016, this innovative method has helped hundreds of students choose a Uni course.
