About Project Kalpana
Explore the cosmos with us! MIT's first astronomy-based student project, PROJECT KALPANA is here! We aim to design a radio telescope, including an antenna, receiver, and signal processing software. Initially, we will focus on creating a horn antenna and mount. Our objectives include analyzing radio emissions from jupiter and the sun, observing hydrogen emissions from the milky way, and tracking geosynchronous objects. Possible future work includes acquiring pulsar data.
