Enhance resilience for Tunisian farmers, fishers, and cooperatives amid climate change.
SURF Project is a collaborative initiative involving several partners MARHP, INAT, AP, and VT, funded by the US Department of State and administered by FHI 360. The project's central aim is to enhance the adaptive capacity of Tunisian farmers, fishers, and cooperatives in response to climate change. Project seeks to achieve three main objectives:
- Accelerate the adoption of climate adaptation and risk management practices.
- Assist in establishing a disaster management system to safeguard land, forest, and coastal resources.
- Advance marketable innovations and research in agriculture and fishing.
These objectives are geared towards fostering sustainable production, expanding commercialization, and preserving critical resources, ultimately contributing to the resilience and sustainability of Tunisia's vital agricultural and fishery sectors.
