We believe yoga has the power to heal and strengthen individuals and in turn, transform whole communities. Project Yoga Richmond is a 501 (c3) non-profit organization in Richmond, Virginia that makes Yoga instruction accessible and affordable to practitioners of all abilities and income levels through its studio and outreach programs. We accomplish this through our pay-what-you-can studio classes, which in part help fund our outreach programs for under-served communities. Our aim is to serve any group, facility or community desiring the mental, physical, and/or spiritual benefits that Yoga can offer, but possessing little to no opportunities to practice and learn with a skilled, trained teacher in the communities where they live, interact and work. We also provide continuing education to teachers in our community and provide sources of deeper learning to our students through visiting teachers, workshops, and special events.
