Laboratory of Programmable Materials and Structures (ProMaSt Lab)

The Laboratory of Programmable Materials and Structures represents a multidisciplinary research team led by Prof. Giulia Scalet at the University of Pavia. The research team aims to achieve a fundamental understanding of the complex interactions between material behavior and geometry and to exploit this understanding for the engineering of new programmable materials and structures to solve global challenges. The researchers combine novel theoretical, computational, and experimental methods. The activities carried out in the Laboratory are funded by the European Research Council, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the University of Pavia.
