Our strategy is to build concentrated portfolios that are diversified across regions and sectors and that exploit risk/return opportunities across a very large and constantly changing international and global universes. We have developed a robust and repeatable process that is able to adapt to changing market dynamics and build alpha along multiple dimensions of risk and inputs. We use quantitative tools to monitor the changing risk/reward opportunity of our 4500 security investment universe and to assess how well our portfolio reflects that opportunity. Our matrix helps to identify areas of risk exposures that we want to take and helps us focus our fundamental research on manageable subsets of high alpha-potential securities identified by our quantitative screening tool. ESG research is fully integrated across all of our products. We use the SASB materiality matrix as a guide to assess the ESG practices of each of the companies in our portfolios.
