PROMISE Consortium

The PROMISE Consortium (Promoting Evidence-Based Investments in Hygiene and Sanitation for Health & Equity) is an international collaboration that unites research and governmental partners from Bangladesh, Ghana, Senegal, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, the USA, and other countries. Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and The Reckitt Global Hygiene Institute (RGHI), the consortium's mission is to advance research in critical hygiene areas, focusing on food hygiene and infection prevention and control in healthcare facilities. By conducting evidence-based intervention trials and providing capacity development, PROMISE aims to reduce environmental pathogen exposure and transmission. The consortium is committed to promoting equitable partnerships and translating research into policies and practices that protect human health and support sustainable development.
