Property X-Change is an open invitation to join a conversation about rethinking how we use high streets across London, with a focus on diverse voices coming together and sharing experiences to create thriving high street properties that work for all Londoners.
Hosted by the GLA, Property X-Change is a forum for all the unique interests that contribute to the success of a place and that do not normally get the chance to work together, giving them a space to formulate ideas and influence their communities as well as the property sector.
A chance to showcase the work already being done that champions diversity and adds social and environmental value to development, alongside a commercial return.
To reconnect diverse local interests with private stakeholders who know high street real estate is no longer simply about leasing space and collecting rent.
It is an opportunity to break down the silo-like nature of development, create a dialogue with communities and access a network of “unusual suspects” who are already innovating and recreating high streets in a positive and inspiring way.
Real estate investors and owners, asset managers, professionals, operators, the public sector and representative local groups – all of them Londoners – can discuss what works well and what does not in the development of the new high street community.
