Stowarzyszenie Biznes – Nauka – Samorząd „Pro Silesia” powstało w 2017 r. Od początku swej działalności skupia się na tworzeniu sprawnego partnerstwa międzysektorowego i rozwoju międzynarodowego działalności zrzeszonych podmiotów: samorządów, biznesu i nauki. Stowarzyszenie zajmuje się także upowszechnianiem wiedzy na tematy związane z Unią Europejską, a od niedawna prowadzi działalność naukowo-badawczą. Jako regionalny think tank ma na celu wsparcie zrównoważonego rozwoju regionu. Od 2021 r. prowadzi punkt kontaktowy Komisji Europejskiej - EUROPE DIRECT Śląskie. *** "Pro Silesia" is an initiative launched in 2017 by former authorities of Silesia Region that aims to expand the areas of cooperation between different sectors. It brings together entities representing business and its environment as well as local governments and higher education institutions. Our main goal is to create an efficient intersectoral partnership, to develop the international activity of the associated entities and to represent and promote the interests of our members in Poland and abroad. Furthermore, the Association by its actions, supports the sustainable, and climate neutral development of our Region. In the summer of 2020 Pro Silesia extended its remit to incorporate research development with the objective of generating data driven change in Silesia. Pro Silesia’s research focuses on the impacts of COVID19 on the region across different sectors. It aspires to become a knowledge hub and build leadership in transformational change. In the series ‘’Silesia and COVID19’’ Pro Silesia tackles the impact of the pandemic on education, on the situation of migrants in the region and the impact on public procurement.
