About ProSolNetz
The joint project ProSolNetz is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) via the Project Management Jülich (PTJ) as part of the 7th Energy Research Programme. The aim of the ProSolNetz project is to utilise concentrating solar thermal energy economically and technically successfully in German heating networks and for the generation of process heat and to establish it on the market. To this end, the necessary developments and evaluations - including in initial pilot plants - are being carried out and cost-efficient components and technical solutions for system integration are being developed. Market-standard design tools will also be further developed and training programmes for planners and industry will be developed. ProSolNetz is coordinated by the DLR Institute of Solar Research. Other research partners are Fraunhofer ISE and Solites, with Solarlite CSP Technologies, Protarget, Dornier Power and Heat and RZVN Wehr representing the industry. The project is also supported by the BSW - German Solar Association, Solrico, Solar Experience, Dornier Suntrace and SWT-Stuttgart.
