The founders of Prosum are private individuals committed to pluralistic democracy and freedom. As Hungarian citizens, we established the foundation to compete as a civil organization at the grassroots level against increasingly authoritarian regimes across Europe. By this time, it was already clear that processes were underway in Europe and globally, disrupting not only our country and Europe but the world order established after 1945. Unfortunately, time has proven us right. In the early 2020s, during the Covid pandemic and then Russia's brutal attack on Ukraine, processes were set in motion globally that neither we, nor the states, nor international institutions were prepared for. Naturally, there were winners in this change. States that increasingly turn into dictatorships suppress their own people and form a kind of alliance, doing everything to collapse the Western, Judeo-Christian-based alliance system. The European Union, NATO, and even the United Nations faced their most significant challenges.
At Prosum, we want to do everything possible to ensure that our children and future generations grow up not in a chaotic world that tramples on human freedom but in a thriving world that supports political and economic competition and preserves democracy.
