Protect the Fighters is a student-led organization based at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi that aims to make the lives of children with cancer happier. Protect the Fighters works with a local hospital to implement a series of projects to support the patients psychosocially by addressing the impact cancer treatment has on children's mental health using art, music, modified sports, and other activities to engage the fighters. Protect the Fighters implements these projects from the proposal process for administration approval, to execution by facilitation of fundraisers for material purchases, and certification and training of student volunteers to work one-to-one with the patients at their bedside to improve their wellbeing.
