The project explores the use of bioavailable proteins and bioactive peptides from low-cost fish species, and other seafoods. These peptides can be used as a component of low-cost adjunct therapies to minimize cancer cachexia in cancer patients. Further, on the consumer side, the health benefits of extracted fish proteins and peptides consumption will also be explored. The fish protein hydrolysate not only provides complete food nutrition; but also add bioactivities of the functional peptides; anti- oxidants, anti-cancer, anti-ACE, enhance immune systems, and etc.
