🔬 Protein Structure-Function Research Laboratory (PSFRL):
Our research groups delve into the structural and functional intricacies of a variety of proteins implicated in globally relevant diseases. Located at Wits University, the PSFRL is a state-of-the-art research facility dedicated to understanding these complexities. Our research focuses on proteins involved in major health challenges, aiming to unlock new therapeutic strategies. We investigate proteins associated with a variety of diseases, including Hepatitis 🦠, HIV 🌍, Coronavirus 🦠, ESKAPE Pathogens (drug-resistant bacteria) 🔬, T-box Transcription Factors (e.g., T-bet) 💪, Fox Transcription Factors (e.g., FoxP3) 🧬, and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) 🧠 and more.
