Proteus Foundation empowers young people and educators to create lasting impact through sustainability, innovation, and science diplomacy. We lead interdisciplinary projects that bridge formal and non-formal education, advancing climate literacy, civic engagement, digital transformation, and intercultural understanding. Our work equips youth with practical skills, critical thinking, and inclusive dialogue to address today’s social and environmental challenges while fostering international cooperation. Key Initiatives: • CatalySD – Catalysing Science Diplomacy Fostering long-term collaboration between Central and Western European institutions to advance science diplomacy. • SciCom – Modern Science Communication Boosting youth engagement in environmental science through digital tools and storytelling. • Sustainaware Promoting climate literacy via extracurricular toolkits for proactive, informed youth. • ENVIRONER – Environmental Storytelling for Youth Building science communication skills through digital storytelling. • Beats for the Better Supporting youth mental health and inclusion through music and creativity. • ADU – Distance Learning Made Easy Helping young adults develop life, career, and entrepreneurial skills. • Young People Unite for the Town of Szőny Promoting Roma youth inclusion through arts-based community projects. We work with universities, NGOs, research institutions, and schools to nurture active, capable, and socially responsible citizens.
