Proteus Wines is a small but purposeful estate dedicated to crafting boutique, lovingly-made vintages from grapes nurtured in the rich volcanic soils of Oregon’s Chehalem Mountain range. Our small to medium and rapidly growing-batch of, hand-crafted wines are those we've put our heart and soul into.
In honor of my late husband, I have taken on the responsibility of continuing this tradition of harvesting, bottling, and celebrating—a legacy passed down from the prior owners. The camaraderie of the Oregon area inspired me to create wines that could not only be enjoyed among friends but also contribute to a greater cause. In this spirit, Proteus Wines is proud to support epilepsy research through contributions to various research organizations across the country to put an end to this terrible disability.
With production limited to under 1000 cases annually, we’re able to craft our wine in a way that stays true to our values. This commitment includes sustainable, natural, and organic farming, meticulous yet unmanipulated cellaring, and thoughtful blending. The result is a wine that consistently delivers exceptional quality and value, while also making a meaningful impact.
