Project Protoprint

Project Protoprint is a collaborative partnership that intends to transform the informal recycling sector through the gradual implementation of a circular and socially responsible model for plastic waste recycling. The project is supported by the European Union’s SWITCH-Asia program and implemented through a consortium led by Kashtakari Panchayat. Through the project, informal waste pickers will be empowered to set up and operate recycling units that convert plastic waste into recycled flakes, granules and 3D printing filament. We are looking to connect with sustainable and socially responsible brands who intend to support livelihoods of waste pickers and source recycled plastic to enable a circular application for plastic waste.
