Plataforma Solar de Almería - CIEMAT

The Plataforma Solar de Almería (PSA), a dependency of the Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT), is the largest concentrating solar technology research, development and test centre in Europe. PSA activities are integrated in the CIEMAT organization as an R&D division of the Department of Energy. The Plataforma Solar de Almería, as a singular scientific and technical infrastructure (ICTS in its Spanish acronym), is an infrastructure with singular facilities which are offered as services to the whole national and international scientific and technological community. This is why national and international scientist can access the different facilities at PSA. The experience of the PSA in access activities has been intense since 1990, participating almost uninterruptedly in the various programs granting access to large scientific facilities, promoted by the European Commission and also in the Design, Feasibility, Access to and Improvement of Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures Subprograms since 2006.
