These systems aim to guarantee delivery of life & safety critical voice messages & alarm tones to plant personnel in the most severe environments, whether that be in a machinery space on an offshore oil rig or a nuclear power plant, a refinery tank farm or a remote pumping station. Various levels of operational redundancy can be provided, from hot spare, N+1 or complete A+B systems. Product performance is based on a variety of standards (IMO-SOLAS, PFEER, NORSOK) and many pieces of equipment are approved for hazardous area installation.
