Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers - TUP Student Unit

The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers - TUP Student Unit (PSME-TUP Student Unit) is a non-profit student organization established in 1978 within the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) College of Engineering. As the name suggests, it is a student unit affiliated with the larger Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME), a professional organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the field of mechanical engineering in the Philippines. As stated in section 4 of the PSME TUPSU's CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS, The primary function of this unit is: 1. To unite the students into a common understanding of the situations related to the Mechanical Engineering course. 2. To organize and operate for the exclusive purpose of advancing the arts and sciences of Mechanical Engineering, the allied arts, and science related to human factors for the benefit of the Mechanical Engineering students of the Republic. 3. To coordinate and cooperate with other student units that adheres to the Code of Mechanical Engineering Ethics. 4. To fulfill its title, the Unit shall recognize the effect of its technology on the environment and natural resources to protect the welfare of posterity.
