International & Global Studies at Portland State University

International & Global Studies is a department in the College of Urban & Public Affairs at Portland State University. Our programs provide students both a global perspective and a comprehensive view of a geographic region of the world. Students develop an understanding of world cultures, politics, and economics, within the context of globalization, and prepare to address global issues of social justice, human rights, development, health and the environment.
